Job Overview:

Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. (FSE) is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Central Utility Plant located on the campus in Triangle Park, North Carolina. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of critical utility systems to support the research and operations of the NIH.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of operators, technicians, and maintenance staff in the operation of utility systems, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, and electrical distribution.

- Plan and coordinate daily activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of utility systems.

- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.

- Train and mentor staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.

- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to support upgrades, repairs, and capital improvement projects.

- Manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, tools, and supplies.

- Maintain documentation, records, and reports on plant operations and maintenance activities.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

- Knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and electrical distribution systems.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS).

- Understanding of safety regulations, codes, and standards related to utility plant operations.
